COA kicks off Older Americans Month with Operation Medicine Cabinet on May 3

(posted 4-28-2017)
The Saline County Commission on Aging (COA) is scheduled to kick off its Older Americans Month activities with
Operation Medicine Cabinet on Wednesday (May 3, 2017).

A deputy from the Saline County Sheriff’s Office is scheduled to be in the Salina Senior Center, 245 N. Ninth,
from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. to collect unused and unneeded prescription medications.

If you are unable to bring your medications to the Salina Senior Center during the scheduled time, please take
them directly to the Sheriff’s Office, next door to the Salina Senior Center, so they can be disposed of properly.

Throughout May, the COA and its facility, the Salina Senior Center, will have a variety of special activities to
celebrate Older Americans Month. Schedules are available at the Salina Senior Center’s first floor Reception
Desk or by
clicking here .

“Age Out Loud” is the national theme for this year’s Older Americans Month celebration.
